I happened to locate a TII trans thats on hold for me and what i belive to be a G54B in a running mazda truck. This would give me all i need to run the trans setup on any wideblock. The first question is how much pain would my ass endure going DOHC? From what im gathering only the 4g64 is able to go dohc. Is this correct and if so what about the front drivers with the G54B dohc? Anywhoo my last and very random question is... Is there any way a mitsu transfer case would bolt up the that TII trans?
HAHA the fun i will have when i know these things! Thanks again
Really so the 4wd trans will shift at 10k rpm? hm... nuts! I understood that the DOHC thing was going to be nearly impossible but i had to make sure. I have two six bolt 4g63's but one lost a timing belt and the other has rod knock. Idk what to do with them..? Hmm this wideblock 4g63 seems like its going to be like tryin to find hay in a hypodermic needle stack! I'll check around the area but idk what i can do up here in the rust belt? Anyone with more info would be great! O btw the awd thing was just a random "Hmm wonder if thatd work moment"
Alrigt i'll search for the thread and see what i think. Off to the junkyard! They have 5 1g eclipses and a few are pop ups Maybe ill trade them my blown up 7 bolt for the 6 bolt?
The B2600 4WD transmission's transfer case comes down really low from the pictures I have seen. It should work though if you want to get into all that. I'm not sure if it'll do 10,000rpm shifts, but who knows.
Any 4G6x engine can go DOHC. There is lots of information on this throughout the site. There is much more crazy 4WD stuff out there with Toyota transmissions. It will be in your best interests to go the Toyota route if you really want to go 4WD.
Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.
Yeah i was just wondering if it would fit not saying i wanted to go that route. All i know is that im going to weld new flange material and try and flip the stock intake manifold on my 1g 2.0 nt. It may be easier and more efficent than the modding most do here. Once the motor is found i will be ready to rock my swap! Thanks for making this possible guys!
