I stripped out my new harness yesterday in about 3 hours. It was from a fire damaged car.. luckily all but the 6 or 7 wires for the MAS that were burnt were for the auto tranny/ac/cruise/abs. I was meaning to extend that branch anyways.

I stripped the harness from the ECU and MAS to just after the defogger relay (which gets removed). From here I traced out.. mostly by hand.. sometimes with an ohm meter... all the wires on the non ECU (3 yellows) or Main Relay (1 White) plugs. There are seriously only like 10 wires you actually need from the 3 or 4 leftover plugs.

I then layed them out in a way that I could bundle them all up so I could solder on a Starion harness (or ETACs I think) plug. I layed them out so that I only had to extend 1 wire!!!.

So basically.. I extend 1 wire, solder on the plug.. and when time comes to put it in the car that mother fucker will PLUG IN to the stock unmodified starion harness!!!!

I'm cutting all the unused plugs this time.. on the white car they just dangle. I cant strip them out completely from the loomed harness, but I can cut them off from both ends up to the loom. I'll trace it out, but I'm pretty sure that having those dead wires, not taped, wont hurt a thing.

Pictures soon!

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.
