Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.
nope that cars a talon the one i posted is an eclipse. the one i posted is an all out race car purpose built. the one you posted a link to is homemade. probably about $40k difference between the two
Yeah I must say I've seen quite a few all out purpose built racecars built at their own homes. You need to pay someone to make you a car for it to be considered a race car? That $40k difference is someone elses labor costs.
nuf said, why fork out 40G if you can build most or all of it yourself?
id rather take that 40G and purchase all equipment/supplies needed
to do all the work.
the $40g was an exaggeration but the car i posted uses aircraft fittings and such and i know the other one doesnt have that shit. this car was built in a garage by two guys. he told me he figured he had almost $60k into the car.
i dont see 60k in this car, but i know that shit adds up. i a local guy start his own shop (phils race cars) i do belive that is the name. the last i saw he was building a 6 second s10. the rear end alone was 10k. the seat he made was sent out and made into carbon fiber.
it does not matter if you pay some one to build it or you build it. all that matters is the end result.
what a nice port job, probally hurt it more than i helped it.
