R154 tranny?

Post by pttcolt »

Does anyone know the breaking point of this tranny? I'm looking to make around 500-650. Any solid info would be greatly appreciated. Ray :D

If there was a rwd 4g63t dsm platform I would. At this time I am considering this swap for a mustang I have until l find a 510 or a 3 series bmw close enough and affordable enough for me to purchase. I'm looking for some solid numbers that people have made on one of theses trannys before I buy one. I haven't really found any good info on supra forums but I'm still looking :D

Gather what you can find from Supra forums. There hasn't been too much information gathered from this transmission on this motor since its such a new option.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

Check out Supramania.com you should be able to find out what your looking for if you search.

I know there are 600+ hp MKIII Supra's out there running this transmission so in my opinion it should be fine.
