can i use the stock conquest fuel pump? the reason i ask is because my fuel pressue regulator went bad in about 10 min of running. i then found that stock conquest pressure is about 97psi and stock 4g63 is 38psi.

97psi sounds way too high. I highly doubt that pressure is used on any year Conquest. My 88 Manual says on page 14-9 that the pressure is 36psi + boost pressure.
Injectors are designed to work best at 43psi (3 bar). So usually turbo cars some from the factory with base fuel pressure = 43psi - boost pressure). This way at full (stock) boost gets the best the best atomization.
Also, I used the stock pump from my 88 with my 4G63 swap and it saw up to 20psi of boost using the stock DSM fuel system (injectors, regulator, etc.)
Injectors are designed to work best at 43psi (3 bar). So usually turbo cars some from the factory with base fuel pressure = 43psi - boost pressure). This way at full (stock) boost gets the best the best atomization.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.

OK. NOW I KNOW NOT TO USE THAT SORCE FOR INFORMATION ANY MORE! I WAS THINKING THAT TO MUCH FUEL PRESSURE BLEW MY STOCK REGULATOR OUT BUT I GUESS NOT. EVERYTIME I GIVE IT GAS IT FALLS ON ITS FACE AND WANTS TO SHUT OFF. AND ITS HARD TO START. BUT IT IDLES FINE. I PINCH THE RETURN LINE AND IT SEEMS TO HELP ALITTLE. THAT WHY I WAS THINKING REGULATOR WAS LETTING TO MUCH FUEL THROUGH.I ALSO CHECKED FOR AIR LEAKS IN THE MANIFOLD AND INTERCOOLER PIPING ECT. BUT NO LEAKS. THE ONLY THING I FOUND WAS THAT MY BOV CONSTANTLY BLOWS A LITTLE AIR OUT I DONT KNOW IF THAT IS NORMAL OR NOT. HAVE ANY IDEAS?

It would be good to check the fuel pressure just to be sure. A can of starting fluid is your friend for looking for vacuum leaks.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
