I was walking through the junkyard looking for mitsu parts and was wondering if mitsu sold any engines to kia or hyundai. The heads and belts looked identical (placement) and what performance could they produce. I read that some hyundai heads could swap over. Is this true?

I dont know about Kia, but Hyundai did for sure. I've personally seen a 1.8 engine inside and out that was a Hyundai. That's what I got my oil pump and other timing parts from. The Hyundia Sonata also comes with a G4CS which is a 6 bolt 2.4L narrowblock that the DSM guys use. I'm sure there are others. Not sure of all the alternate engine codes but I'd love if someone could post them here.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

Myself and a friend pulled a 4g63 valve cover of a hyundai. it looks identical to the Mitsu valve cover but it says 16v hyundai, he is going to clean it up and swap it onto his eclipse.

Kia did use the 4G6X motors, I believe they had 1.6s w/o balance shafts and maybe a couple 1.8 and 2.0s.

Should there be a comma after "no" in your post, meaning that NO, Hyundais DID have 4g63's in them? Or is it that you are trying to say they did NOT have 4G63s in them??? If so, what engines did they have in them??
