I reduced the weight of my dash so much its crazy. Its lighter than Matt's. I also cut off the bottom of it which gave me some more foot clearance since I sit back so far. The only metal left is the 2 brackets on the sides and the one in the middle that slides onto the pegs. Also gone are the speakers, wiring, kick guards, glovebox, clock, heater, blower, etc.
One day I may reinstall the clock and the blower. Its nice to tell the time at events and its good to not have the windows steam up.
I think the previous owner had a dog and he reduced some weight too. Must have taken a bite out of the passenger side... at least I hope it was a dog. Didnt want to cut up a perfectly good black dash so I used the dog bitten one.

6.9 Interior:
1. All non-essential items must be removed.
2. Gauges are free.
3. Dash board must be OEM or OEM replacement. OEM replacement must be same dimension and position of OEM dash board.
4. Must be clean and professional in appearance.
5. Drivers and passenger seats are required at all times. Both seats are required to have safety harnesses Safety harness mounting (see section 5)

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

I will need a rear set for myself if they'll split it up.
Also put my friend John Dexheimer down for a set as well. Him and I discussed this last week and he's got the $$ all ready.
The picture of the rear from the JZX81 wont be anything like ours. We have McPhearson struts in the rear, not... whatever that is.
I have cores if they need any. Probably 3 sets and can get more. I'm pretty sure they require cores for the Corrolla guys with similar setups.
