little info for you guys
if your using or planning on using a GM maft change your mind and throw it in the trash. ive been chasing a breakup issue at higher rpms for months now and have spent around $1000 replacing parts and i finally threw an old 2G maf on the colt and it runs silky smooth now. im very pleased with how the car runs now at 17 psi on pump lol. im taking it to the track again this weekend and i can pretty much guarantee 10s.

well pretty much all the guys on the dsmlink forums agree its a piece of shit and they told me that but i do my own thing so i didnt listen. some guys have alot of luck with the translator most dont. its a shame too cause its a great idea and really opens the door to some power if it would work.DJpowerHaus wrote:Surely others dont have this same trouble running the GM MAFT setup? Glad to hear it is better now.

I ran one on my stock quest motor and its was almost a full second off the quater mile time, just what i needed. My brother liked the results that i had with it so he bought one, an updated version of mine. Nothing but problems since... so he said screw it and put the stock mass back on and now his car runs good. (1rst gen Laser). I dunno what to think
also peregrine, had a question in the general forums for ya. maybe you can help me out. its under project quest is back. Thanks.
