in my many travels of putting together two 4g64s i came across an new awd act clutch. i was wondering if i can use that flywheel for my rwd 4g64. i have the clutch and a lightweight flywheel is cheap for the awd.
new news, my n/a fwd 4g64 is almost done and ready for the track, i hope i can have it all done in a month.

in recent months one of our members found that the starter ring diameter was smaller on AWD flywheels compared to FWD flywheels (what I used for my 1st swap). This means that the starter will not engage when using the D50 transmission. I think he found a starter sprocket that make up for this difference allowing him to use the AWD flywheel with the D50 transmission.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

Yeah that was me, all i did was pull the starter apart, weld up the holes and drill some new ones 6mm over to bing it closer. also had to file the locater ring down. bit dodgey but it works...DJpowerHaus wrote:in recent months one of our members found that the starter ring diameter was smaller on AWD flywheels compared to FWD flywheels (what I used for my 1st swap).
