i am going to use the 9.1:1 if i can find some 9.5 or 10 i would run them.
higher C/R less boost same power. but i am sure i am going to use race gas.

dont be scared to run the 9 to 1s. thats what i have and im only running 12 psi (wastegate spring) but its an insane 12 psi. im sure i can get away with 18 psi on pump no problem. mitsu used 8.5:1 so dumb fucks wouldnt blow their cars up with 87 octane. if your using premium (which you should be) your fine.

I'd like to do 20lbs or so daily. I thikn I'd be a bit safer with 8.5:1

guess if I cant find any 0:1 will do, hell the vvti 1jz im picking up uses 9:1
i only have 91 octane tops so your still fine.

wideblock and narrow was the same 1G parts. the only thing i was triping on was the difference size pin
21mm Pin 1988-92
22mm Pin 1993-02

what size pin does the eagle rods use?

Eagle has rods for both, but its best to stick with all 21mm 6 bolt stuff since you are building a 6 bolt block and are using a 6 bolt crank.

(6bolt = 21mm pin = 1988-1993.5)

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

but.....
21mm Pin 1988-92 8.5-8.7 C/R
22mm Pin 1993-02 9-9.3 C/R

i want at least 9:1 should i buy from someone else?

Those appear to be all they offer off the shelf. Custom spec pistons are available from most vendors. They cost more and take more time, but you get what you want. I'm personally glad I have the lower compression pistons. Boost always beats compression as far as max power. 8.5:1 will not hurt you too much on response either. Beats the 7:1 of the Starion and 7.8 of the Sirius Dash. I'll see how my 8.5 static compression is with 110oct E85. Always better being safe than sorry. You can turn down boost, but you cant really turn down compression (other than putting a thicker head gasket on, which has its own problems (quench area and timing).

i know a gsr running 10.5:1 with a turbo on pump gas.
if i run 9.5:1 with 110 and methanol i should not have a problem.
only thing i am worried about is running the nitrous with higher compression and boost. i want to use a 100 shot direct with methanol.

Methanol is serious stuff. Why did you choose that? Its corossive as a bitch, even compared to ethanol and it burns invisibly and is poisonous.. scary stuff. Why'd you go that route? If you're going to run that on the street, then custom pistons are probably in your price range after all.

i know a guy that is runing Methanol injection and it makes a HUGE difference. he can run 10-12 more deg of timming and run more boost with less detonation.

and by running methanol with the nitrous it is a little easyer on the motor with a little less chance of detonation.

I will be running 2 fuel cells, one with gas and one with Methanol.
I am not driving this on the street. 1 cali suck and i don't want to pay a crapload to smog it. 2 with this much power on the street i would: A. Go to jail, B. Die.
i have a addiction to street racing. I have fled a bunch, and i got cought a few times. I used to live in SD, and well raced alot.
So i am trying to take it to the track with this car.

Weisco makes both 6-bolt and 7-bolt pistons for the 4G64/63. 6-bolt is 8.7:1 and 7-bolt is 9:1. Both I think are safe for good boosting. Run about $425-$450 a set.
