You still buying parts or is this thing done / driving?

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

Still buying parts for it. Waiting to get the intake manifold done. Once its done the car can be sent over to the welder to get the exhaust manifold made and intercooler pipes done. Any work on the car right now is on hold until the intake manifold gets back. Still buying other parts too. Went ahead and stuck antique plates on it!

Sweet, well thought out project. I'm excited to see the outcome. Looks like it's pretty close.

Stopped by the machine shop today to inspect how the work is going on the Jdm Evo 8 Intake Manifold. The flange has been corrected. Went over details with the machinist on how far porting needs to be. There going to open it all the way up from the flange to the larger side of the runners. A lot of adding material and porting is gonna get done. Instead of it going large to small to large "6-bolt head", it will be larger to large. Machinist said he will try to keep the total cost around 400 for the work, fine with me.

Porting is done. There was a section on the throttle body flange that was overlooked but will be done this week.

Jdm Evo 8 7 Bolt Intake Converted To 6 Bolt.

Prepped the car on Saturday in order to get the exhaust manifold made for the car. Car is going to the Fabricator in a week.... Shortened the drivers side intercooler pipe by 4 inches and it works lovely on this motor, its from the mpi g54b build. Turbo is temporarily bolted to a bracket to take this picture ;)

No that's the stock Evo 8 flange, just converted to match the head.
