Starion flywheel rx7 turbo II clutch question
Hey all. I'm putting together a wide block and rx7 trans combo together for myself right now and just got my drive train parts in. I went to check to make sure the clutch and flywheel match and they don't. The clutch kit was sealed and NIB. PN on it is CFT544020. According to the FAQ section the trans is listed to work with starion flywheel, rx7 turbo II clutch, starion TOB, and pilot bearing. My pressure plate is way off from the holes on the flywheel. Any ideas?
I had no probs with my series 4/5 RX7 transmission swap using the bell from a Mazda or Ford 4x4 that had a carby 54 motor in front of it.
The TOB,PB and spline are all the same and the speedo cable ans reversing light switch all fit straight up but the trams will sit on an angle and NO bashing of the tunnel required .
Use the Starion clutch not the RX one

Did you ever get this sorted out? I have personally used an RX7 cluctch kit on my Starion flywheel + B2600 Bellhousing + RX7 Turbo II transmission (S5).

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.
Thanks for the info . So the RX amd Starion clutches have the same mounting holes and diameter ?DJpowerHaus wrote:Did you ever get this sorted out? I have personally used an RX7 cluctch kit on my Starion flywheel + B2600 Bellhousing + RX7 Turbo II transmission (S5).
I just reused the starion clutch I already had
