Hi there. Been trolling the forum for years but never posted. I've owned a couple 4g swapped Colts and a couple Conquests and countless dsms.
Here's the setup
A friend of mine has a swapped 4wd Dodge D50. It has a fully built wideblock bottom end and a 2.0 head. The person who wired the truck used a 90 wiring harness and 90 components. The 90 ECU blew, since he has decided he would like to switch everything to a 2g OBDII harness with all 2g components.
I have sourced the following parts
-2g harness
-2g coil pack
-2g TR unit
-Open "blackbox" ecu
-2g o2 sensor
-2g throttle body with sensors
-2g TPS
-2g knock sensor
Is there anything i'm missing? Has anyone successfully ran an OBDII harness?

odb2 port for logging,flashing etc is just 3 wires.
+12v , ground and signal.
check out the pin out of the ecu you intend to use to know what wire you want.(diagnostics)
There is not much different between a 2G and 1G loom, just the efi & fuel pump relays were a bit different.
Key is to have a good ecu pin out and remove or ignore all the extra wires for the wipers and other stuff you don't need/want.
And if you can find it, the pin out for the big connectors that connect the loom in the center console.
most of the stuff you want all ends up in that connector.
temp, speed, rpm, battery backup power, and some others.
the odb signals also go through this connector so if you still have the rest of the loom with the actual odb connector...
