Some companies will do runs of 10 on custom flywheels.. but good luck finding 10 people who both a)want to do this transmission and b)have ALOT of money to spend on a clutch.

What is it like $1000 for a twinplate?

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

from what I understand you can use a rx7 clutch and PP, if you are using a TII transmission.

Is the pressure plate the same part number with aftermarket clutch companies?

I questioned this until I had good proof that it was true. Now I can say that it probably is. Many sites I visited listed the same part numbers both the pressure plate and disk (ACT to be really specific).
Starion Pressure Plate and Flywheel:
# MZ-010X - Xtreme Pressure Plate
# MZSD069 - Street Disc
$567.00

RX7 Pressure Plate and Flywheel:
# MZ-010X - Xtreme Pressure Plate
# MZSD069 - Street Disc
$549.00
One site even mentioned the other Mazda, and Ford applications for this clutch.
Max Pressure Plate w/ 6 Pad Sprung Hub Disc
2500lb Pressure - 575lb Torque - 40% Increase
87-89 Dodge Conquest 2.6 Turbo
88-92 Ford Probe 2.2 Turbo
88-92 Mazda MX-6 Turbo
86-92 Mazda RX-7 Turbo
87-89 Mitsubishi Starion 2.6 Turbo
The throw out bearing and pilot bearings do differ though and may have something to do with the prices between the kits.

I'm going to buy an RX7 clutch (its cheaper usually) and since I'm using an RX7 transmission I'll use the RX7 throw out bearing. I'll probably just buy a $6 pilot bearing somewhere to use in my flywheel.
