I know the title is a litlle confusing. What I want is to get an idea of is how much traction the starquest has for straight line acceleration. So tell me what engine mods you have, what boost, what rpm, and speed you are going where the result is just spinning tires.
So for instance the stock starquest doesn't have this issue unless you are standing still, red-line it, and dump the clutch.
Someone else told me that at 40mph with an HX40 that he will just smoke to the tires and not accelerate. Personally this is a little surprising and I would tend to believe that he either had bad tires or his rear camber(?) was bad.
If you've done something more than just gotten the SHP rims that really helped with your traction then mention that also.
Thankx.
At what point does a StarQuest loose acceleration traction?

With my 350hp (HX35 @ 14psi) motor in the racecar I could spin tires up in 4th gear when the motor hit the sweet spot (4000rpm @ full boost). I think this was mainly due to the weight reduction in the car, especially in the rear. This was with 245 rear tires and some good camber (certainly not 0 degrees).
Why is this even a concern? Cross that bridge when you get to it.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.
