mighty max rearend ?

Post by econodream »

Hey guys,
anyone know what the rear axle is in a 2wd 1994 mighty max? I have a friend with one thats getting swapped soon in the future and we were wondering what the rear axle was. With the chances if its a dana i maybe have a locker for it laying around.. im not by the max now so i cant crawl under it to check out the axle tag.

Concidering they are all dodges/ hince jeep maybe its a dana 35?

It is a Mitsubishi rear end, your best bet is to install an 8.8 out of an Explorer, the leaf spring perches line up with the mighty max spacing. The explorer 8.8 also come with a trac-lok lsd.

Most likely it's a 3.909 diff ratio, and yes it's aMitsu 8 inch rear end. It's not a Dodge truck.

ill look into the montero rear end or maybe since the 8.8 ford will work so can a jeep axle the width and spring perches are the same thats why so many cherokee guys swap to the 8.8 as well.

thanks for the help guys im sure ill post up some progress once its gets going
