Evo 8-9 intake manifold

I read some where this will work on the 1g eclipse motor in a rwd set up anyone have info on this?

I believe the flange is different so it would take some cutting and welding. Also the port shape is different, It matches the port shape of the 7 bolt head not the 6 bolt.
Wait for some one else to chime in though, thats just what ive read from this site.

So I can't just port the intake to match the 1g head?
