New from Florida

Post by DSM_newb »

Hey what's up everyone. My name is Mike. As you can tell I am fairly new to the Dsm side. I have a general knowledge of some of it. I've been a Nissan guy for 7 years. Well with that being said, I own a '91 240sx coupe. A buddy of mine has a 1g gst which is completely wrecked in the rear. A few of us were BS'ing and I said, sell me your longblock and I am going to put it in the 240. Of course everyone laughed and said, man, that's ignorant just swap in an Sr20. Well, that doesn't sound like much fun. Some said, it can't be done and won't be worth the time/money. Me on the other went, okay, I am going to do it. I have reading around the site for a week and decided to make an appearance. The only thing that is a little confusing to me is this. Just from looking at the motor I have, it looks that the mount brackets are really far back, I haven't began to fab anything so I am not sure. Anyways, that's it for now. Looking forward to learning some stuff along the way. Cheers.

Here is another 240sx. http://projectzerog.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1105

Maybe you could get some good pointers from him.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.
