I'm back, albeit I doubt anyone remembers me: I had (at the time) dreams of putting in a G54B into a Pony... Well, those dreams were shattered yesterday when I drive 1.5 hrs one way to a wreckers to see an "Astron" from a 1986 Caravan - It had the weirdest water pump setup I had ever seen, which was powered by a belt coming off the back of the head (cam) and swooped down to an elongated housing that had the water passages coming through the block - Unusable in a RWD application.
I wandered around the wrecking yard and found this, however:

This is what will feed it:

Note - That's a 4G67 head, which will not be used right now (Time constraint on leaving the country in late Sept)
And this is what it is going into:

The engine in the vid is no longer with us - Not in a usable form anyhow. It's a 4G32 configured in such a way as to push the car to 15.2 in the 1/4 - 305 carb, 4-1 headder, overlapping cam w .5 inch lift, MSD, lightened flywheel, etc.
I have been lucky to purchase a 1987 Stellar 5spd for parts (which uses the 4G63) so I have all the RWD running gear (also 6 bolt) from that engine.
I plan to re-use the wiring, and the exhaust manifold will have to be modified to fit the 4G64 - I will have to make another adapter plate and have the 4-1 headder welded to match those ports.
Should be fun, I take delivery of the engine on Saturday!

Wow, I wish we had these cars in the USA, I would have built one by now! Here is the FWD build I did last year.
