4g64 crank in 4g63 (6 bolt )
Hey guys just wondering if the 4g64 6 bolt crank can be used in a 4g63 6 bolt block with the stock 1g turbo rods and pistons? I just picked up a GSX that needs a bottom end rebuild and I have all the parts I need laying around to fix it minus the 4g63 6 bolt crank ( I just sold it a couple weeks ago....
) but don't know if I can throw this crank in with some stock internals without any clearance issues. As far as plans for the car, I am just building it to be a daily driver and will be running it all in its stock form as far as boost and fuel goes, thanks in advance.

You can use the 4g64 crank with the 4g63 rods. You just need pistons with a relocated wrist pin whole to bring the piston down further so it doesnt smash your head. MUCH cheaper than buying a whole new kit. The only thing is you may need to upgrade your rods eventually if you are going to apply any high amounts of boost.
Just a Side Note, 4663 and 4G64 Rods ARE the same.
and you get a 2.3L motor because the bore is smaller.

I was unsure about the rods. Thank you for clearifying that. But I know if you use the 63 rods you dont have the clearance issues, in my experiences anyways. they didnt rub on the block.
