NJ, and what I should have asked is based on my research, is it really as simple as using a stage 2 starion 2.6 clutch? or am I way off?

Quartermaster 7.25 Twin Disk or a Tilton. Everything else I've tried has burned up.

How do you plan on getting 500HP?

Mike, Do you have a part number or what the original vehicle would be used as a reference? I just need to make sure what I get I can remember how to find it a year or two later when I need a new one since looking up a mighty max wont work lol. Thanks.

As for the 500hp - I am talking bhp not whp and second the bottom end is capable of handling about 800hp so the only issue is head work, intake, cams, valves and valve springs. I am pricing out some complete heads that are available but this is all down the road as I want to complete the build first and put some low hp miles on the rebuilt engine before I beat the piss out of it ;). Besides the fact that once the build is done you just swap the head (not a big deal it just comes down to price- about 1500-2000 so far) So you may question why get everything for the assumed 500hp well if it can handle the high hp it wont break and second I wont have to change it when I bump up the power.

I still question if my big16g will be enough.
950cc injectors 255fuel pump .38 fuel line etc.

F1 racing offers a stage 2 and stage 3 clutch for the trucks stock setup, has anyone tried either of these?

The only fitment you are ordering is spline count. The clutch, pressure plate(s) and Button Flywheel are a package. You have to figure out how to get a Starter Ring Gear in there. I had my Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel machined down to accept the Button Flywheel, and got longer Flywheel Bolts (not from Mitsubishi) to get it all together. Very one off, but it holds, I've got a lot of pic's of burnt clutches.

what you want to know

Quartermaster Button Flywheel, P/N 509XXX – 6 Bolt DSM

Quartermaster Clutch, 7 ¼ Twin,1X23 P/N 298063RYS
