4g67/4g63 loom ECU compatability.
Hi I have been given a 1800 4g67 1991 galant and want to fit the electronics from it to 4g63 to save money as a bare engine is cheeper than a front cut. Will I run into any problems with the injection side of things? has anyone done this before?

best bet is to gather the manuals for Both and compare. or if you have the ability, get the 2 together and do a Visual comparison of the connectors and sensors. Mitsubishi re-uses a lot of stuff between models, and the 1.8 SOHC and the 2.4 SOHC are damn near identical in many ways, so there is a good chance.

It is a N/A build(I'm not very highly payed). But that doesn't matter as it turns out that the car had a 4g63 in it any way (it did have 4g67 on the chassis plate). I don't know what head it has expect that it has a cam sensor on the back of the engine. Do I have to move it or will it fit? I think it will but are not too sure.

From the looks of it, you would have to do some clearancing to the firewall to clear the cas and possibly a rear-mounted thermostat housing. Another option is to relocate the engine foward 2.5-3". This allows the cas/t-stat to clear the firewall w/o any clearancing. The only downfall is the custom mounts/trans crossmember and extended driveshaft.
I was going to make up a pipe for the thermostat housing, like the one that is fitted to this EX;From the looks of it, you would have to do some clearancing to the firewall to clear the cas and possibly a rear-mounted thermostat housing

Also I think that since my Celeste had a 4g52 lump as standard and the EXs had 4g3X I might not have to take the big hammer to the fire wall.
