Any better options than the CAS when running MegaSquirt ?

I would really like to not use the CAS and was wondering if anyone has come up with a better option than the stock CAS?

I know there is the Kiggly Racing 12-Tooth 6-Bolt Crank Trigger Sensor but $230 seems a little expensive so I'm looking for other options.

Also, a 35+1 trigger wheel would be ideal for aftermarket ignition systems.

not sure if it will help on a mega squirt setup but it's nice to know something like this exists.
