First Gen 4g63T swap ?s

Post by firstgen232 »

Hey there I have just bought an 84 dodge d50 that is really clean and well taken care of, I have tried searching for any info on people swaping the 4gs into the first gen. The truck has the 2.0 g63b motor in it and a 5 speed trans, I know converting over to the 4g63 will require the following :

4g63T engine
wirring harness
ecu
fwd clutch
fwd flywheel
fwd starter
fuel injection fuel set up

but what else ? all the plumbing for the turbo and radiator hoses i can take care of but is there anything I am missing ? can it even be done to the first gen and is there any pics of any of them completed ? My stock 2.0 is stock and I would like to start saving up parts to do the swap if it is possible. What else am I missing ? thanks

pateince friend >;o) there are not as many members here as other places

the AWD flywheel is 270 mm diameter and the FWD if 280 mm diameter however the starter and the clutches are the same

the other question is either its a wide block or a narrow block
