87 2.0 D50 AUTOMATIC

Post by TheDSMguy »

I'm assuming this is a wideblock from the "mitsu engine id post" but, that being said, I'd like to know what would be required to swap this truck. If its not a easy bolt in. Then I'd like to just fix it and sell it and find another one that is, its really just a budget build type of deal and I thought a auto truck would be pretty sweet.

I see almost no info on here about auto swaps with factory transmissions as well.
Thanks.

Hi Paul, that block should be a wideblock, so you would have to swap the 4g63t internals into it. Another option is to find a 1g d50 with a chrysler 904 trans/narrowblock bellhousing. This would bolt right up to a 4g63t block. There is some more info on this over on the hotrodcoffeeshop.com forum.
