Need measurements from Starion brake booster

Post by AustinTSI »

I am looking at doing a brake upgrade on the starion but need some measurements from the brake booster. If anyone could get me these I would really appreciate it.

I only need the measurements for the part that goes through the firewall.
1. Center to center, horizontal distance of bolts
2. Center to center, vertical distance of bolts
3. Diameter of the center portion coming out of the booster (how big is the hole in the firewall)
4. Length of the rod that connects to the pedal (from the flat mounting surface of the booster to the center of the hole)

Thankx, I really appreciate it.

Someone has posted all that info on here or starquestclub in diagram form.

I have one sitting on my workbench if you don't find it, but it may be a few days before I can measure it.

Not really. I checked the starquest site but it looks like they are missing a lot of older info and I couldn't find it. I kinda got it by crawling under my dash and taking some measurements which were very generic considering how cramped it is under there.

So I would still really appreciate getting some specific info from anyone that has the opportunity. Not just the dimensions between the bolts but how much room is around them. For instance is there a specific indented shape in the firewall.

I went ahead an bought a hydraulic brake booster for when I start working on my car and I want to have a mounting plate made.

Thankx, David.

I'll get it for you in the next few days. It's still sitting on my bench.

This is the side that goes through the firewall.
The bolts as measured are a rectangle.
It is 80mm wide and 48mm high as measure from the stud centers.
The plunger is not centered but drops down a few mm below the center.

I just reread what you needed. I'll get the rest today.

The hole in the firewall is 60mm. You can see it is even with the centers on the top bolts.
There is a metal spacer on the booster, it is 32mm
The distance from the spacer to the hole for the pedal, 100mm
