do any companies offer 4G64 pistons with at least 9.x compression?
I know wiseco has pistons for 4G64's with 4G63 heads but they are 8.5-8.7 compression. but can they up the compression on request?

I am sure they can, but why would you bother? 8.5-8.7 is a perfect compression for 99% users...

my pistons are are 9.3to1 compression. its on there website somewhere. you can get 8.7 or 9.3. i went with the higher compression as my car will never see pump unless i decide to go with alcohol/water injection.
*edit* i just checked it out and its gone off the pda. oh well. maybe mine are 8.7? its been almost a year since i looked them outside of the block.

The 1G ones are 8.5:1 and the 2G ones are 9:1 or something like that.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

yah, I saw the 2G ones, I dident think they would work..
I wouldent mind running lower compression.. then I can tune for lower octane easier. and pump up the boost when running higher.

Wiseco can customize the pistons any way you like. If you want to move the wrist pin up into the oil ring, they'll do it.

You are definatly correct about them doing anything you'd like. Most piston companies will do this for you as well. Sure it costs alot, but if you want to specify every detail, go for it!

Higher static compression will give you a better spool time and lower static compression will allow you to run more boost but when you get to your final effeciency of what the cylinders will do before knock is the same. You are restricted by octane rating! e.g. you will be able to run say 10lbs boost with 9.1 and you will be able to run say 14lbs boost with 8.5 but the whp figure will be the same it just going to be how fast you get there!
