im trying to finish up the wiring in my 4G63/'88 Ram 50 project; and am curious about the wires running to the starter. for the record, the truck was originally a 2.0/5 speed truck, and has the same KM132 it came with originally installed right now, and i'm utilizing the DSM starter. ok, now for the questions:
the truck's wiring had the one black wire with yellow stripe labeled "starter", but another wire in the same branch (convoluted tubing), similar size, and its Yellow with a Red stripe and Brown dots. the starter looks to have one blade sticking out for a connector, and i would assume the black wire with yellow stripe goes to that, but what about the yellow wire(with red stripe and brown dots)? cant really see anything else down by the starter that has a similar stile blade connector. FSM doesnt seem to list any yellow wires at all in the starting circuit.
the other question about starter wiring is from the DSM harness. i'm wiring up the Coil/Power Transistor which has two wires that ran down to a T connector that i guess went to the starter in the car . the black wire with red dots runs down, and then into a ground bundle, but the other wire, yellow with green stripe and red dots, is supposed to run down to the starter as well. my question is; does that yellow wire provide power to the coils and power transistor? if so, does it necessarily have to connect to the starter, and not just get spliced into another switched hot wire?
id rather not splice the yellow with green wire from the car's harness in with the Black with yellow stripe wire from the truck's harness if i can help it; just to keep the two harnesses as separate from eachother as possible.
a quick response would be nice; as im just kinda stumped on it and sitting at the moment. i tried searching for forums, but didnt turn up too much searching for "starter wire" and the like.
starter wires?

The Starter has only 2 wires, The Big one from the battery and the little one to the blade on the solenoid.
