One Nasty Mud Bogger!

Post by Winglessflight97 »

I've got a fully built 600++ hp 2.4 4g63 auto awd talon with a shot tranny that's rusted beyond belief rotting in my garage that i built. I just ran across a running 1G V6 4WD Dodge Raider for $400, and i got a really dirty thought. How awesome would it be to have a competitive 4 cylinder mud dragger against almost all V8s?! To make this happen with minimal cost i need to know two things...

1. Would my narrow block 4g64 directly bolt to a (I believe it to be, but could be wrong) KM148 4WD auto trans? and...

2. I have a restalled IPT torque Converter, Valve Body w/ shift kit, modded tranny pump, and high torque overdrive clutches from my W4A33 transmission. Would any of these be swappable into said 4WD trans??

This will determine whether this engine powers a nasty 4wd, or an AWD eclipse spyder later on... Thanx to all!

Ahh... That's way more money than I have to spend on a project like this. I'd rather just get my spyder shell, and have an awd convertible... Thanks

My purchase of the truck was contingent on the adaptability of my engine. I never bought it. Sorry, Man.

Why couldn't u just get a wide 2.4 block and swap all your internals??
Here near me, there are lots of wide 2.4's in the yards.
I picked up a (flood truck??)2.4 that only had 81K on her

I'm hoping to use that in my Hornet.
