well, all I can say is that my head hurts from doing so much research..
finding the parts to make it happen is harder than anything!..

anyways, since the only way I'm going to be able to use a 4G63 is if I find a block out of an australian starion, and importers want $1500 for everything.
so, I'm going to attempt to find a 4G64 block and Mazda B2600 bellhousing and start from there, since that will allow me to bolt it up to a stock RX7 Turbo II transmission..

Everything here Theoretically should work, I even have a 4G63 engine and head here, so I've been measuring and thinking up ways to move the water neck to the front (block it off on the rear of the head and move it to the freez out plug on the front)
I've also been working on converting the intake manifold for rwd use.

but does ANYONE have at least a picture of one sitting in a rx7? I've been on every forum so far searching my ass off and I cant even find someone elce who has done this with a rx7. not that I want to copy someones work, but I would like to see at least where the engine sits, what they did with the mounts and if the engine subframe gets in the way. and if it hits the firewall at all.

anyways, any help will be appreciated :D

I WISH all to hell, that there was some way to mount a 4G63 narrow block to the B2600 bell housing.. I wouldent even mind fabbing up an adapter plate myself, but then I need to know if i can find a clutch/pressureplate and starter that will work with the smaller flywheel, or even if it's possible to use a 4G64 flywheel with the narrow block when I use an adaper plate, or hell.. will the splines even be long enough to still mate up with the clutch if I have an adapter plate sandwiched in between the engine and tranny..
ggrr, if there is someone out there that has done exactly this, please set me in the right direction :)

if you think you can make your own adaptor plate, well you might want to think about makeing you own bellhouseing, it would be tough to make, but if you did it the cool factor would be off the scale

cool factor yes, but I found a few bell housings for very little money whihc are located close to me, so I'll be doing that.. as for the engine, I have begin the search for a 4G64, and the ones I have found are no where near me and need to be shipped. but for the mean time I will be looking for one closer.

I was thinking about the 4G63 adapter plate idea, it wouldent be hard at all to fab up, but then I will have to use the smaller flywheel from the narrow block for the starter to fit. and then I cannot use a rx7 clutch or pressure plate and I will have to find alternatives, probably a custom clutch and a mix of some pressure plate from some car which I dont know exists :D
