4g63 swap - VIDEO THREAD

Post by Egoinstigator »

So I decided to make a thread for all of us to post videos of our projects.

This is me test fitting some intercooler pipe just after getting the engine and trans all bolted in and adjusted.

Here is my first startup with some obvious idle issues.

This is a collage of test pulls I did after I had it running pretty well and installed a LSD.

Thanks for watching and any contributions you all can offer to this thread are greatly appreciated.

I noticed a couple things in your videos.

First, you might think about moving that oil cooler out from behind the intercooler. It won't get much airflow there.

Also, if you haven't done it already, swap to a non-turbo throttle body. You mentioned you were thinking of going with a straight piece in that area. The non-turbo TB has a lip on it to attach a coupler instead of the turbo's bolt on elbow.

Also, your setup would look great if you route that coolant line along the intake manifold instead of across the head. I never thought to use the MM thermostat housing outlet, but might look into it for my setup. Hopefully I'll get my junk to the shop next week and I'll get an "expert's" opinion and get my car on the road this year.
