Normally I am pretty good about this but this one has be stumped...
The knock sensor wire and this mystery connector branch off from the same bundle. Seems like it goes to the ignition coil (may have bumped it off?). Looking at other DSM's, it connects on the side of the coil assembly but I don't have a plug in for it. My harness is from a 90 and they were quirky so who knows. He's what it looks like...

looks like the ignitor plug, 90 is mounted on the side of the manifold under the coils.

Ok time for round #2
I've fnishing a wire tuck to keep the engine bay clean. Many hours of soldering later...
Everything is cool and works except I can't figure out what exactly this thing is for...
In a DSM, it normally hooks to the firewall. It looks like it says something about the defroster...
And ideas? ECU doens't seem to care that its gone.

that is a capacitor, its for electrical noise. also that relay, is rear defrost on a DSM. also not needed.

Cool! Man it feels good to cut all the excess wires out. I've got a rats nest of old wires on the garage floor and everything is still working!
