good day everyone! just joined the forums a couple of days ago because i will be acquiring a new engine for my 1st gen lancer... i went to my older brother's friend's shop the other day and saw a g62b (sohc, 8v, carb version) engine sitting at the back of the shop... the owner of the engine, who is also a friend of my older brother, is selling the engine for only US$100...
i really want to buy the engine because i know it's the smaller brother of the 4g63 and 4g64 engines... i would like to ask all the experts here for some info and specs of the engine...
i know it shares the same block as the g63b so its stroke is most likely 90mm... it would really be helpful if someone can tell me it's exact stock bore so that i can at least have an idea how much i can overbore it... also, i was wondering what crank, rods, and pistons combination can i use to turn this engine into a stroker... can i use the 4g64, g64b, or g4cs internals (crank, rods, pistons, etc.) to overbore and stroke the g62b motor? any answer will really be helpful... thanks!
