Quick question for everyone,
Has anyone ever made a "riser" of sorts to modify or "flip-flop" the intake manifold by means of making/buying 2 identical flanges, flipping them 180 degrees out from each other and adding 4 pipes inter connecting them?
If you have what was the outcome? Did it cause any Vacuum or flow problems?
Edit:
What if said "riser" were to be cooled by means of heatsink? (an easy mod)
I believe that could help to dramatically reduce intake temperatures.
This thing could be made up to 6" long in my case and never interfere with anything else under my hood. (93' Mitsu Mighty Max)

I will not knowingly sell any work that would fail an EPA test, if you are street driving, I will not alter an intake manifold, having said that, you can PM me and make arraingements for your racing vehicle
the first gen intake was pretty easy to exchange ends on




but on requests I also convert the EVO intake and install the EGR ports to comply with EPA standards


I just built the EGR passageway into the intake flange, it works well and it out of sight so it doesnt raise any red flags

That is some pretty AWESOME work you've done there my friend!, and in the future if I have a need for some custom milling work I will definitely make sure that you are the first to know!
But as for this intake I think I got it covered now, and it was inspired by some of the pics of your 1g intake manifold above. I believe I have a 2g (not that it makes much difference other than port size) but what I did today was took inspiration from you and ran with it, first I drilled a BIG hole on the south end,

and chopped off the throttle body flange on the other end.
Welded the flange back on the south end over the hole, welded an aluminum plate over the hole where the flange used to be, and voila! RWD 2g Intake manifold.
