has any one removed the brake booster spacer? if so how did you make the booster fit well? i took the one off my parts car too see how it fits, but well it doesnt seem to fit flush.if your wondering why, i need some clearance for my manifold.

I took one apart and investigated a year ago. I can't remember what my conclusion was. All the parts are in the garage so I'll take a look at them sometime and see if I can figure out what I was thinking last year.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

Joe, I sent DJ some pics a year ago+ on using a hydro boost from a later model BMW 7series. (should still have the pics on here)

I think that I looked into a booster M/C from a colt turbo that was considerably smaller dia for a happy manifold, but the mounting pattern for the colt was off just a slight bit.

I looked at it too and thought that it wouldn't hurt to notch out the manifold in that area because it's not going to hurt flow way up in that corner.
(that is if you were to keep the quest M/C)
