Aftermarket tach

Post by shroder15 »

Ok. I know you can make a stock tach work in the truck with swapping over a few things, but I'm going to end up just making a custom gauge cluster. Unfortunately, my 5" tach with shiftlight was just purchased used from a buddy of mine, and I have no idea what wires go where. It has 4 wires, Black (Ground I assume), Red, Green, and a thinner white wire. I know its an Autometer tach, but cant remember which one. Any help on wiring it up to a 91+ harness would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

Oh, Its a 91+ eclipse harness in an 87 D50.

You may want to check on autometer's website for the wiring on the tach itself, the tach signal will come from pin 109 on the ecu.

Just looked here, it says to connect the green to your tach signal.
