Well I could relay to you what many people have told me...use the search button! j/k.

If (like me) you have a 1G then you will have a narrowblock 4g63. The narrowblock bolts up directly to the mightymax tranny IF the tranny is a narrowblock design also. The problem is the mighty max/d50 came with both the narrow and wide block (seems like mostly wide).

If you want to use any other transmission you will have to use a bellhousing adapter which can open up a wide world of possibilities between nicer transmissions than the stock one.

That should get you going...

if the MM/D50 has a 5 speed stock, it's a narrowblock trans. autos were wideblock.

This is incorrect. If the mm/d50 has a 2.0l engine(g63b) AND a manual trans, it will be a narrowblock if it has a 2.0l and auto trans, it will be a wideblock. If it has a 2.6(g54b), 2.4 (g64b or 4g64) regardless of trans, it will be a wideblock.

Afaik, all dohc blocks are narrowblocks, just stick with a 6 bolt and you will be fine. The 7 bolts will bolt up, but some may not have provisions for the rwd mounts.
