Hey guys,

I've been lurking this forum for a little while gathering information and what not, but finally decided to register and post up what I am doing. To start off, I've been into the whole turbo Mitsu thing since '04 when I bought my Galant VR-4. When I got the car, it was completely stock, and now it has a 2.4 with a 50 trim and many bolt ons. I finally got the car running last spring, and aside from a little issue, the car has been running pretty good.

Around the time I got the VR-4 running, I picked up an '85 Mazda RX-7 for $200 with the intentions of throwing a 5.0 w/ a T5 trans into it. After thinking about it, I realized how boring a V8 would be (as in it has been done many times), and decided to throw a 4G63 under the hood. Over the summer I picked up a few parts for it, consisting of a 0 mile OEM rebuilt shortblock, an E3 16g turbo, wiring harness, a head that needs rebuilt (going with SS valves and Evo 9 springs and retainers), a big water/air I/C, and some other goodies. I'm still up in the air on what transmission I want to do. I wanted to pick up an adapter for the TH350 from Bill in the spring, but the paid intership I was looking at getting didn't follow through, so I had a lot less cash to play with, and now that I think about it, I kind of want to go with the W55-59 or R154 transmissions.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi, and I will post some pictures once I officially start the project.

Thanks, and I'm located in Danville, PA, which is not quite North East PA, and not quite central. The engine is a 12a, and I think an oil control ring took a crap. The compression is around 100 or 110 psi in the front rotor, and around 70 in the rear, or the other way around, I can't remember. The trans was shifting pretty good when it was still running.
