I have heard about people doing this swap but have never seen any progress or forums documenting the swap. Im now into the project far enough that Im ready to start posting updates etc on it.
Here it is:
The day after I found this website and Bill's "Billhousings" I purchased a R154 Tranny for $300 lol.

I heard about a couple of DSM's sitting at a local junkyard so me and a friend went and pulled a 4G63T 6 bolt engine for $100. Got a 2G maf for $5 too. also the engine came with an oil cooler which I later sold for $60 including the housing.

I was going to install the 4g63 into my daily driver 240sx hatch. But I came across this 89 240 coupe for $300. I have been wanting a coupe for awhile now so I was pretty stoked.

The frame in the front was busted. I bought 2 fenders a front headlight assembly and the bumper came with the car. I forgot the bumper at the dudes house so I paid someone $20 for gas money to bring it to me. All of that cost a total of $200. You can see how far off the front frame was.

The first quote I got to pull the front end was $900. I told the guy "I will think about it" lol. I found someone else to do it for $500 a couple weeks later. He really did a good job. And I realize it was alot of work. The hood latches perfect now. All of the fenders are tie wrapped on in these picts.

A couple days ago me and a friend pulled the single cam KA engine. And today I am painting the car flat black. Going to grab some beer and have some friends over for a paint party lol. Here is how it sits now.

I almost have all of the parts. What I need to buy is the actual R154 to 4G63 bellhousing. I am going to use the 10cm (or whatever it is) EVO 9 16G turbo. And someone last night told me he would give me an EVO 8,9 intake for free. Also I need to go grab some motor mounts, a rwd water pump, and im going to use the alternator relocation kit.
Last but not least Im going to grab an EPROM ecu from Jeff at Keydiver. (dsmchips.com) I still have a chip that I can reburn from my last project. We were talking about making an adjustable rev limiter. Im going to be using the car for drifting and racing. So I wanted the option of having a low rev limiter so I could keep my foot on the gas around corners and so that I wont have to worry about my head and stock springs.
Updates to come. Im pretty stoked. Any suggestions or questions are welcome. I have a ways to go on the project but I wanted to show u guys whats going on in my garage lol....
