1973 Dodge Colt RWD
I just purchased the 1973 Dodge Colt RWD. Looks like a lot of great info on this site.
Intend to fit a 4G63T. Narrow or Wide will depend on the transmission I choose. Please help me decide which is best yet affordable. Best compromise of cost, availability, and performance.
Also any idea which fits best in the Colt I have.
Thanks,
G-

I voted for the R154. It will handle just about any power level you can make with the 4G63 at about the same cost as a W58. They are a little more difficult to find than the W series, but worth it when you get one. If finding one is difficult or too expensive, the W58 is a great option and can likely handle most of your needs in a light weight car like a Colt.
Do it in a Datsun!

Simplicity, ease of fit, low cost, and availability would be high on my list.
My power requirements would be low. I originally guessed that between 200 and 300hp would be sufficient but the more I read the less I think I need in this tiny little car.
However, fast and smooth shifting is a priority.
Thanks everyone, keep the ideas coming.
