FWD pressure plate same as AWD?

Post by Gentleman Rogue »

so now that i have to find a FWD pressure plate, i started looking at them online. i went to JNZ tuning, who sells one for the 6 bolt 4G63, but doesnt list whether it is for FWD or AWD. a quick email to their techline got me a response saying that the pressure plates are the same between the FWD and AWD. i know the flywheels are different, but can anyone clarify this?

yup 100% percent same.if your not going for big hp why not just run a stock replacement clutch it will be better than the mm clutch you were gonna run and be much cheaper than a performance clutch.

better to clarify the diameter of the flywheel

there are flywheels with raised 'towers' for the pressure plate bolts and there are flat flywheels

some are 225mm, some are 215mm

hope this helps
