WTB-D50 "stronger" base plate

As titled. I want to try and keep these trannyes in the car! I am 100% confident this will help immensely with longevity. I think the Starquest one will work just the same?

So, anyone make/sell these before I bust out the drill press...

I understand that-but I remember someone making a 1/2 think, or inch thick aluminum piece. Maybe it was bill?
