Swapping trail housing on D50 transmission

Any guide on swapping the starion shifter tail housing onto a d50 tranny. Should someone be able to remove the bolts, slide the rear tail housing off and swap it onto the d50 tranny. Do you have to remove the small pin inserts on the shifter push rod? Any guidance or even pics.

When I get to this point i'll be doing this. I would think since the quest tail is longer, one would take or use all the longer shifting rods from the quest and just replace the ones from the d50.

Iirc, the tail housing will have the longer arms already attatched. I have only done it once and it has been over a year ago, I remember just looking at how the "paddles" go together on the housing to gearbox and assembling it. It is very simple to do once you have it apart and see.

Sorry if that is not much help, that is all I can say about swapping them.

It usually takes me a few tries to get it right. I tend to look it over after a few attempts, see how it goes together, and then close my eyes and imagine how everything lines up as I'm putting it together.

Be sure to test that it goes into gears before you tighten it up and say its done.
