Everyone, can you write down what you pay for EVERYTHING and part numbers? I want to put together a chart of how much this stuff costs for as many people's cases as I can.

I want to finally have an answer to "how much does a 4g6x swap cost?" And since everybody has a slightly different setup, a big chart would be the best way to answer this.

I'll post up Mine and Craig's after I finish his swap in a few weeks.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

Well, I'll add to it as I go, but so far

4g63T - Free Long block for trade for an AWD trans
D50 w/ Trans - $120 (looking to sell trans for 100 with new TOB if anyone is interested...I'm in VA.)
Modified 3rd Gen mani to fit - free w/ D50
560cc Evo injectors - Trade for my Megasquirt
91 Rebuilt Eprom for DS-Map - Trade for M.S.
Full 92 N/T OEM Gasket set - $160 (employee pricing :))
Port and Polish w/ standard Valve job, rings, and all bearings - $200
90 Wiring Harness - Free from my wrecked eclipse
Fuel Lab 1g Kit - 210
Head Bolts - 40

Things to purchase are:
Bill Housing Adapter for th350 - 250
TH350 - 100
Shift Kit - 40
BM Z Gate Shifter - 120
Wheels for slicks - 40
Slicks - 150
Driveshaft - 100 (modified)
Oil lines - 70
INtercooler piping - 100

I'm working on getting the rest of the set up as funds allow, but I'll probably be running an Evo 9 turbo/manifold/02 housing. Now I just need to figure out the wiring of the darn thing as I can do that without any money...any advice and please see my forum in the electrical section!

May as well show my face in here.

My spending list is linked in my signature. It's down to every penny I'm spending on my...hell, I'm not even sure to call it a "racecar" anymore. I don't know what exactly it'll be classified as, but certainly not a daily.

It's not far along, as I just switched ideas from building my own chassis (locost) to using an S13. Reason I switched was because I have access to *ALOT* of parts up at work for it.

I thought I should post this here as well,
Project is a 93 Mighty Max, wideblock 4g64 DOHC Turbo and standalone Megasquirt ECM

Short Block 7bolt Wideblock $250.00 (Local Craigslist)
Long Block 7bolt Narrow Block (2g) $650.00 (Short Block FOR SALE!)
Gasket kit $86.00 (Ebay)
Main/Connecting rod Bearings $100.00 (Ebay)
Billet Pistons $140.00
Megasquirt, Relay board, Stim $200.00 (Local Craigslist)
18g Turbo $150.00 (local buddy)
Flux Capacitor $ Priceless!
Machine Shop Work (Greeley Automotive Machine Racing)
Block:
Align bore $140.00
Cylinder Bore and Hone $100.00
Resurface Head and oil pan Locations $65.00
Hot Jet Cleaning and Aluminum finish $60.00
Cylinder Head:
Cleaning, Magnaflux check before work $50.00
Complete Valve Job $265.00
(includes R&R of all valves, 3 angle seat grinds, 3 angle valve grinds to new valves, New Valve Guides, Warpage straightening, Resurfacing, Hot Jet cleaning and Reassembly)
Crank:
Grind and Polish $105.00 (included cleaning)

for a grand total so far of: $2361.00 Give or take, and I think I will get a free day on the dyno once its all together too.

I still need an intercooler and some piping, a blow off valve, timing belt, plugs and wires, motor mounts and a turbo oil line kit.
Probably going to be a $3000.00 project in the end... and worth every penny of it the first time the turbo kicks in!!!

I probably could have spent less, but this is what I wanted and I wanted it done right.
I could have pulled a junk yard swap and saved some money at first, but would I really have been saving money if I were to keep breaking stuff that should have been replaced in the beginning? I think not.
93' Max, 4g64, 16v DOHC, 18G Turbo, Walbro 255L, 27" FMIC, 2.5" Exhaust, Aero Exhaust, AEM C2DI w/COP, 510cc Injectors, Running on Megasquirt 3-X.

Videos as soon as it's 100% up and running.
