Say I were to bolt a 4g64 wideblock to an RX7 TII transmission. I have a TII clutch, but obviously I'd have to use the 4g64 flywheel. I know the RX7 clutch look roughly similar to the last DSM clutch that I used but I'm not sure if it'll work with the flywheel. Anyone have any insight on this?

Well, you will be using the B2600 bellhousing. Then you can use the 240mm flywheel from the 88-89 Starquests which uses the same clutch as the TII. You will want to lighten that flywheel though. It's insanely heavy.

Awesome, so the Starion flywheel will bolt right to the 4g64 crank? Does anyone make a lightweight flywheel for the Starion? I don't have to have an insanely light flywheel but I really don't want a heavy one either and I'm not hot about lightening stock flywheels. I love the increased effect on engine braking with lightweight flywheels.

Yes, the bolt spacing is the same, 6 bolts. There may or may not be a difference in pilot bearings though. I don't know if the TII has a pressed bearing into the flywheel, but the Starquests do not.

I believe the TII pilot bearing isn't pressed into the flywheel. I'm not positive on that though.

I did find a 10.5 lb Fidanza for the Starion. :D

i priced a flywheel for 333 dollars on midwest turbo.

i'd really like to learn more about the input shaft/pilot bearing madness. it wouldnt be very hard to machine and press in a custom pilot bearing / spacer out of brass or something.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.
