Before I bought the entire trans/clutch flywheel setup from Mike, I was looking into Clutchnet's stuff, from wheat I have read/seen, they make quality parts.

Sounds like a good idea. I might have to go this route after my motor break in, but right now I have an OEM starion disk. These are the same diameters as the eclipse. So a 6 puck or 4 puck for a starion would work too. It should be the same part number as you found.

I believe the pre 1988 Starion clutch disk (225mm) would work, but 88-89 use a 240mm disk.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

Didn't you have to change the spline count on the disc?
I thought that it was different..?

The d50 disc will not cover the entire flywheel friction surface of the fwd turbo flywheel, but this has been done before and does work. I would personally use the d50 flywheel along with a sprung 6 or 4 puck disc with a moderate pressure plate, if you want to use the d50 setup. I have a d50 flywheel if you need one.

Why would you want a 4 puck with a moderate pressure plate? This seems overkill to me, there are plenty sprung clutches that can hold the power.

You mean shift locking? I've never gotten totally into drifting. I road race my Type R so smooth is key there. There is a drifiting leaque in my area and I've thought about maybe taking my d50 out once its ready. I assumed the truck would suck ass without an irs. How do leafs handle that lateral force? Good? bad?
