I've got to clear out my yard (again) Got a 96 Z28 from a friend that it started pressurizing the cooling sys and blew the side tank of rad.
Replaced Rad but still doing it.
NO water in oil, fires up and runs fine. just after a few min the temp starts climbing but engine is cool to the touch. NO smoke out the pipes.
I got another set of GOOD/straight Lt1 heads (had a shop check them out) for it but will be having shoulder surgery the 9th and don't have time to fix my self. I guess they had issues with the headgaskets and cracked heads
It's green with tan int. rebuilt 4spd auto w/shift kit.
could use a good detailing on the inside since he smoked.
Peeps from this board can buy it for 4200.00 with the few extra parts.
(two good LT1 heads, pair rear shocks and two water sensors for pump and head)
Next is a 85 Toyota MR2 5spd. Got from another friend whos wife ran hot and (blew the gasket) they kept getting jerked around by other shops. I pulled the head, re-worked it by valve job, port n polish. fires up NO smoke runs well gets good mileage if shifted under 3K. Red/black installing new clutch master hopefully today/this week. (if you like the Toyotas, there are a couple of swaps that can be done also. (3Sgte, camry V6 and V8 toyota Do a search for twobrutal.uk.com or mr2owners.com I think)
I know the past 3 adult owners.
Ed's brother had it towed behind a motor home most of its' life. (still have the front framing) and had motor rebuilt at around 90k. sold to Ed who just drove it back and forth from work. Sold to Tony who drove it the same but then wife wasn't watching temp.. and then I got it.
It's a nice drive, but I'm partial to Hondas for an everyday driver. Well, we'll see after I drive this Mighty Max for a while. Hopefully that will get the 2.0t swap.
Again, 1600.00 if you mention this add.
Both are in the MEMPHIS Tennessee area.
Thanks. Errol
