Just purchased an 86 Mighty Max 2WD w/ G63B, 5spd trans, no a/c, no p/s with 42,xxx miles. The truck runs fine and is in pristine condition being 22yrs old aside from failing emissions testing for high NOX (3699 allowable, reading 5697) but i would like to swap in a newer fuel injected 2.4 but dont know where to begin. I know it will drop right in but what else do i need? different trans? wiring harness? ecu? I have been searching the site and have just found info on swapping 4g63 in starions and what not...if someone could provide me some info or point me in the right direction i would greatly appreciate it.

yeah thats another problem is actually finding a motor and trans...ive been looking everywhere and cant find the 4g64 fuel injected truck motor. cant find hardly anything on ebay even mitsubishi says they dont carry them anymore...im not really to concerned with wiring diagrams or anything of that nature as i am pretty good with them, if i cant find a harness then ill just make my own. i just need to know the actual components i am going to need to drop the 2.4 in...so far its looking like i am going to need 4g64, trans, wiring harness, ecu, possibly different gas tank??? thats what i have come up with so far...and if anyone has any ideas on where to find a donor truck shoot that my way too. thanx
