can i get rid of this?

im trying to get rid of everything i dont need in the engine bay of my truck, and clean it up a bit. im not sure what this box on my driver's side inner fender is; it has some vaccuum/vent lines plugged into it, and also has a plug from the truck's wiring plugging into it. the latter kept me from just ripping it out.

so can i get rid of the box and all of those vent hoses running to the canister at the front of the engine bay? see pics to see what im talking about:

The first photo is your charcoal canister. It is a vent for your gas tank and it is mainly there for emissions control (fuel vapor). Many enthusiasts get rid of it, but then you must decide what to do with your gas tank vent. You can ether vent it out (that will cause fuel smell) or plug it up (this will pressurize your gas tank). Both have their disadvantages... You can try it both ways…

I am not sure about the 2nd photo, perhaps the ECU?

3rd photo is most likely a valve for #1.

When I eliminate the vacuum canister I move the rollover valve from the firewall to the fuel tank and vent it. Its a little safer than just an open hose in the event of an accident.

When I wired my d50 for efi, I used the firewall grommet from the old harness, split it in half, then re-glued the split and taped it up like factory. Just a little trick you may want to do

I've pulled all mine but kept the plastic thin lines just because and will try to sell the rest on www.MightyD50.com.
Some guys need the emissions stuff.
It makes it lots cleaner
