FUZION 7 Drivetrain FS

Post by coltboostin »

Here goes nothing. This is the only way I will go 2.0+6 speed.

The motor currently in the RX-7. 2.4 wide block. Eagle rods, custom Weisco's 9.0 to 1 a hair over standard bore. The block was milled/bored/line honed buy the same machinist the builds Buschur's motors. Fed Mogul Bearings, B/S eliminated. It is loose, so it does have some piston slap. If you come, we can take the car for a ride before we pull the motor.

Head is stock with new lifters. Milled. The Comp 3's will be included. made 567whp @ 26psi with STOCK CAMS on my Twin 50 trims. Currently makes 451whp@20 psi with one, and the cams.

$1600 for the motor. If you buy more, I will toss in a spare VIRGIN wide block.

IF that sells-

B2600 Bell houseing+RX-7 trans $350 Bell housing alone for $150

Spare RX-7 trans $250

Wideblock 240mm Flywheel with south Bend DXD PP-$300. Stock pedal feel!

Take it all for $2.2k.

Man, I'm intersted but I fear that you are farther away than I want to drive. How far north are you (I'm in Baton Rouge)??

Can you explain the specs of the engine alittle more? Is it a 6 bolt? Are you using a 1st gen or 2nd gen head and how much is it milled?? Are the pistons really custom or are they the pistons Wiseco sells for the 4G64 with 4G63 head swap(Part #K564M87)?? How loose is the engine, do you have the specs on how much piston to cylinder clearance?? Does the piston slap go away after warming up? What, if any, manifolds are you including?? Any turbos included?

I found this list in a previous post you made. Can you tell me what is not included with the sell?
4G64 w junkyard Hyundai DOHC head
Stock Rusty Hyundai cams
JMF RWD intake/w Q45
Twin China 50 trims
Mild welded "BoBo" manifold
Single used Tial 38mm
Fidanza Flywheel
ACT 2600/6 puck clutch
JP Fab whatever is laying around intercooler plumbing
"look what I found" DSM 255lhp fuel pump
1600cc injectors
DSM Link
GM MAF-T
China intercooler
2.5x2 to 4inch exhaust (1/2 of which made from Cummins stock exhaust)

IF That sells.....

IF That sells..... I'll gladly buy your T2/B2600 trans setup. AND spare T11 tranny for the prices you quoted.
If so, you can seperate both gearboxes from their bell housings, ship the 2 boxes, and the B2600 housing. TAKE YOUR time shipping the stuff as I'm still overseas. John, aka: 89coltgt will be recieving all my shipments.

I'd consider taking the engine too, but I'm going 2.0 with my setup.

LMK either way what you want to do, we can make this happen as painless as possible so that everyone comes away from the table happy! :)

The Pistons are .003 over, its a custom size so I could straighten out the cylinder, but not go .010 over and compromise the already thin bore/HG area. Also, they are the retarded strong 1400hd's with the optional think walled wrist pins.

The head has since been switched with a rebuild stock unit, when I installed the COMP 3 cams. Piston to well clearance is at .0035 if memory serves me, #4 is near .004. I like building my motors loose, considering the RPM, head, knock resistance...ect. I like letting the oil a a nice big cushion on the bearings. ITs a 6 Bolt, ARP main's. I inspected the bearings 200 miles ago, and the looked great! Again, if you not comfortable with the slap, I am including the virgin Block as well.

No manifold would be included. You getting a long block.

I was just talking to Geoff on the phone earlier, he does indeed want that stuff as long as you are selling JP. I think he is still at work so he may be back on here again tonight.

Btw, did you use the stock rx7 trans crossmember and trans mount?

Yes, stock driveshaft..ECT. That was the appeal to me, cheap, easy, effective, 99% done with FACTORY parts.

Does he want to motor and all? PM me for a phone number if you want to talk.

Do you have a location that you can provide me???

As for the pistons, does this mean you are using the "21mm pin, 1400HD with .225” tool steel pins" but with a custom 3.408 (instead of the standard 3.405) piston diameter. So, this should put your bores in the 3.411-3.412 range.-- Please correct me if I'm incorrect on any of this.

Does the engine have piston slap after warming up???

As for the head-- is it from a 1st gen (large port) or 2nd gen (small port) head??? And the Comp 3 cams-- do you mean Part #101300 from comp cams made for stroker engines with stock turbos?? Or can you provide me the duration spec on the cams you have??

Still interested in the complete setup if I can get some info from you.

I am in Cleveland, Ohio You are correct on the piston specs, and the pins. The motor gets quiet when it warms up, but there is a hint of noise at idle when at temp. It is silent at RPM though. Again, we can go Honda hunting if you like before we pull the motor.

The head is a 1g, large port, and yes, 101300's. I REALLY like them, not an aggressive idle, easy starts, and picked up a TON of top end power.

Still got it. Willing to take offers before I put it in the garage for rehab.

If this does not get sold, I will be sticking with this drivetrain next year. I'm willing to let it ALL go for 2k. You can even come do burnouts in the car to make sure it still works before we pull it.

Mr Hyde-give me a call.

Ok, here is the deal.

I have another project just hanging in front of me, begging to be done. If I sell this drivetrain, I will stick with the RX-7, if not, I will leave the car as is, and move on to the next big thing....

SO, in an effort to get this out of here- 1800 for the whole shebang, thats firm. I cant go any lower than that. If it does not sell in 2 weeks, I will cancel this action and leave the car as is.

Happy hunting.
